| Introduction: | This topic provides ShipSure users with information on the modules available and useful tips on using the system. |
- Marine Purchasing - which provides access to all areas associated with creating Purchase Orders, Freight Orders and the Invoice Comparator
- Ship Management which provides access to the Certificates, Project & Defect Manager, Insurance Claims, PC Inventory and Vessel Details modules
- Planned Maintenance which provides access to the Work Basket, Counter Readings, Jobs, Maintenance History and Spares Forecasting
- Inventory Manager which provides access to Components, Consumables and Spare Parts and Orders
- Voyage & Performance which provides access to the Engine Log Book, Position List, Voyage Reporting, Engine Performance, SEEMP and EU MRV
- Risk, Safety & Environment which provides access to the Environmental Manager, HazOcc, Inspection Manager, JSA, MOC and the Risk Assessment library
- Work and Rest which provides access to Crew Hours and Head of Department functions
- Onboard Crew which provides access to the Fleet Overview, Crew List and Crew Management functions
- Hotel Defect Manager where the vessel records any known defects found on the vessel
User Tips:
When Shore staff are selecting a vessel the user, depending on their profile, will have the option to select from the below vessel selection options
- [Responsible] - this will list all of the vessels that have been assigned to the user
- [Favourites] - this is where a user who does not have vessels specifically assigned to them can tag vessels to reside only for their individual use. The user must be given access to the vessels to enable the user to store them in their Favourites.
- [Fleets] - this is where a user, depending on their user profile, will have the option to view vessels by Fleet
- [Offices] - this is where a user, depending on their user profile, will have the option to view vessels by group offices
- [Clients] - this is where a user, depending on their user profile, will have the option to view vessels grouped per client or where a Client will be able to view their vessels
The Vessel crew will only have access to their own vessel
Functionality
The modules within ShipSure V2.0 are evolving on a regular basis. Improvements are made to the current functionality depending on user and client requirements
Some of the basic functionality covers

The ability to attached documents and links to web services
- The Certificate module supplies certificates per vessel type and alerts to when new certificates are ready to be uploaded and be completed
- The Environmental application which is used for the reporting of Waste, Emissions, Port Restrictions, Current Waste and SEEMP
- Voyage details presents improved Noon Reporting, Port Events and Performance reporting on Sea Trials and more
- Risk and Safety Job Safety Analysis module combines Risk Assessment and Job reporting
- Planned Maintenance links to the Project & Defect manager and Condition based monitoring
- Work and Rest allows for all crew to enter their own hours of work
- Onboard Crew controls the movement of crew members on and off the vessel and allows for the vessel or office to Add, Change and Assign Crew members
- Hotel Defect Manager is where the vessel records any known defects found on the vessel and can arrange for corrective actions to be taken
